About The BIG Awards

The Independent Garage Association is proud to present the British Independent Garage of the Year Awards to honour the best of our sector, by the industry, for the industry.

Recognising garages from the length and breadth of Britain, with award categories highlighting all aspects of running a successful garage business, the BIG Awards have established a new gold standard of independent garage.

The BIG Awards 2022 saw all shortlisted garages in each category receive two complimentary tickets to our magnificent awards ceremony on Friday 19th August 2022 at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. Attendees were treated to an outstanding evening of celebration, entertainment and partying, with TV personality Mark Durden-Smith hosting the awards ceremony, and actor and comedian Hugh Dennis entertaining guests with an after dinner speech.

Held in association with the iconic British Motor Show, all finalists also received a 4 day family ticket to The British Motor Show 2022.

BIG Award winners are positioned as leaders in their field thanks to recognition from the UK’s largest trade body for independent garages, receiving a trophy and industry-wide press coverage.
